EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
2003 to Present.
Gregory Vanger worked for Fox World Productions for three Seasons as the Executive Producer in charge of the International
Versions of the Hit Television Show "Temptation Island". Shows Produced for France, Holland, Belgium, Scandinavia,
Hungary, Italy. Filmed in Remote Locations in Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras and Italy.
Duties Include:
- Re-Building "Show Bible" (all creative and production elements necessary to produce the show) so that Foreign
Producers can follow a strict Format. Executive Producer for licensed Formats has final say on all Creative and Format issues.
- Planning all creative aspects regarding Format with Foreign Producers and Broadcasters.
- Working with Foreign Production Team to ensure sufficient structure for Physical Production on Location, such as number
of Segment Producers and Foreign Crew required.
- Supervise all aspects of Casting, to include background checks and psychological profiling.
- Assist in planning for Post Production and Delivery.
- Set-up Distant Location (Facility), to include: Finding location, technical set-up (hidden cameras, microphones, tech
rooms), Production Design, logistical planning (transportation, accommodation and activities), negotiating all government
permits, fees and customs, hiring of Key Crew (Dir. Of Photog., Prod. Designer) as well as local labour. (total crew = 120+)
- Work on Story and Character Development as the show progresses (reality TV) through to Broadcast.
SUPERVISING PRODUCER
2003
Gregory Vanger worked for Fox World Productions as the Supervising Producer on the Hit Television Show "Temptation
Island" US Season Three.
Location: Roatan Island, Honduras.
Duties Included:
- Developing New Twists for the third Season.
- Set-up and supervise Casting Process. Organize Casting calls and sending out dozens of "Teams" all over the
US to conduct casting sessions.
- Conduct investigations of any potential candidate, to include background checks, physical and psychological tests.
- Set-up Distant Location, to include: Finding location, technical set-up (hidden cameras, microphones, tech rooms), Production
Design, renting and importing/exporting all equipment (40+ cameras and approximately 10 tons of gear), logistical planning
(transportation, accommodation and activities), negotiating all government permits, fees and customs, hiring of US Crew as
well as local labour. (total crew = 160)
- Organize and Supervise Post Production in Buenos Aires, Argentina (for US Delivery).
SUPERVISING PRODUCER
2001 – 2002
Gregory Vanger worked for Fox World Productions as a Supervising Producer in charge of the International Versions of the
Hit Television Show "Temptation Island" Season One and Two. Because of the logistical difficulties and huge cost
associated with the producing of "Temptation Island", Fox World set up a "Facility" season One and Two
to enable several countries to come on board and share all of the set-up and wrap costs. This idea triggered the signing
of Six countries Season One and Five Countries Season Two, with shows to be shot back to back. The Facility took care of
all logistical and creative issues and the incoming country needed only to concern itself with bringing a small crew of Segment
Producers, Camera/Sound Team and the Participants with Host.
Duties Included:
- Plan all logistical issues based on "Show Bible" (all creative and production elements necessary to produce
the show) so that Foreign Producers can follow a strict Format.
- Working with Foreign Production Team to ensure sufficient structure for Physical Production on Location, such as number
of Segment Producers and Foreign Crew required.
- Hiring of all US and local crews (total crew 120+).
- Renting all Gear (40+ Cameras, Sound Equipment, Lighting) and shipping to location (more than Ten Tons of Gear).
- Finding and negotiating locations. (first season Roatan, Honduras, second season Koh Samui, Thailand).
- Set-up Distant Location (Facility), to include: technical set-up (hidden cameras, microphones, tech rooms), Production
Design and Lighting, logistical planning (transportation, accommodation and activities), negotiating all government permits,
fees and customs.
INDEPENDENT FILM PRODUCER
1989 - 2000
Gregory Vanger has Produced a number of movies over the years, some as a "Hired" Producer (Line Producer).
All Projects (except "JonBenet Ramsey") had budgets of between 2-7Million US Dollars.
