After six years competing internationally for the British Ski Teams, Gregory Vanger joined his father, Lawrence, in Los Angeles to start his career in the Film Industry. Lawrence Vanger owned and ran "Performance Guarantees Inc.", the second largest Completion Bond Company during the Nineteen Eighties, with offices in the UK, US, Australia and South Africa. Gregory found himself immersed from the get go and was able to absorb information during many meetings dealing with areas such as casting for distribution, financial structures, US and International film rights, Key Cast contracts, Budgeting, Production, Post Production and Delivery.

After the initial exposure to the industry, Gregory felt the need to get his hands dirty in order to learn more. After a three month crash course at Panavision, Vanger felt confident enough to get a job working as a Camera Assistant on a movie and soon established himself as a hard working reliable Focus Puller and Camera Operator in Los Angeles.

Gregory continued to work for "PGI" between camera jobs, acting as a Consultant, looking at the feasibility of any given project by reviewing budgets, schedules and other elements such as location as well as key staff and talent.

Johannesburg became a production haven in the mid to late eighties and it was not long before PGI South Africa needed supervisors in the field. Gregory joined his Brother Jonathan and ran PGI South Africa for two years and bonded more than a dozen projects.
Gregory and Jonathan also produced two features of their own during their stay in Johannesburg.

Gregory returned to the United States and continued to Produce movies and his experience in the completion bond world gained him a reputation of being a problem solver and it was not long before production/distribution companies were seeking Gregory's talents to take over projects in trouble or line produce projects in difficult places. Problem solving has included replacing entire crews or locations mid-production, negotiating with Unions and resolving crew strikes, damage control caused by escalating budgets, dealing with troublesome and disruptive actors, Insurance claims, post "principle photography", re-shoots and re-editing.

Gregory's career took another turn five years ago when Fox World Television contracted him to set-up and produce one of the biggest productions in reality television Temptation Island. With 30 participants, a crew of over one hundred and fifty, 14 camera and sound crews operating 24hrs a day for 14 days on a distant location makes producing Temptation Island a challenge. Gregory produced a total of sixteen "TI" Shows (175+ Episodes) for more than ten different markets.

Gregory remains active in the development process and has recently been working with several broadcasters in Europe to adapt reality "Edited" formats into reality "Live" formats.
